'Olaf's Frozen Adventure' to air on ABC Dec. 14

Dec. 9 (UPI) -- The Disney animated short Olaf's Frozen Adventure is scheduled to premiere on ABC Dec. 14.

The cartoon -- which features four new songs and the voice talents of the original cast members of 2013's Frozen -- recently completed its limited theatrical run playing before Disney-Pixar's blockbuster Coco.

"Olaf teams up with Sven on a merry mission," a synopsis said. "It's the first holiday season since the gates reopened and Anna and Elsa host a celebration for all of Arendelle. When the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday customs, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own. So, Olaf sets out to comb the kingdom to bring home the best traditions and save Anna and Elsa's 'first Christmas in forever.'"

The vocal ensemble of Olaf's Frozen Adventure includes Josh Gad as Olaf; Kristen Bell as Anna; Idina Menzel as Anna and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff.
