WWE Raw: Kurt Angle announces secret, Roman Reigns battles Samoa Joe

July 18 (UPI) -- Raw general manager Kurt Angle spilled the beans Monday on Raw and announced to the WWE universe the secret that has been teased for weeks.

The announcement, which the Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist was scared would destroy his family and career, dealt with a son Angle never knew he had.

According to Angle, a former college girlfriend had, unbeknownst to him, given birth to a son who was put up for adoption, raised with "American values" and who had chased his dream of becoming a WWE Superstar.

That son, Angle announced, was none other then former Smackdown Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan of American Alpha who was now coming over to Raw to reunite with his long-lost father. Jordan entered the ring and shared an emotional hug with Angle who was seen shedding tears.

Jordan's tag team partner Chad Gable, who will most likely remain on Smackdown Live, shared his reaction to the announcement on Twitter writing, "Ummmmm.....what?"

Also on Raw, Roman Reigns collided with Samoa Joe to determine who will face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship. The two heavyweights enjoyed a competitive match until Braun Strowman appeared to end the bout in a no contest.

With revenge on his mind, Strowman attacked Reigns and then later Joe who stood in his way. Exhausted from their match, The Big Dog and The Destroyer were unable to hold off Strowman for long as he continued to pound away at the competitors.

The Monster Among Men finished his destructive tirade with a number of Running Powerslams to Reigns before he celebrated in the ring to close out Raw.

Strowman was last seen at the Raw pay-per-view event Great Balls of Fire where Reigns attempted to permanently take out the towering giant by driving the ambulance Strowman was inside straight into a truck.

Other moments from Raw included Intercontinental Champion The Miz and his Miztourage of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel attacking Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose with chairs; Bayley defeating Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss in a non-title match; Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Mustafa Ali defeating The Brian Kendrick and Drew Gulak; Big Cass once again confronting Enzo Amore before getting into a fight with Big Show; Ariya Daivari defeating Akira Tozawa via match stoppage; and The Revival defeating The Hardy Boyz.
