"I've done so many dumb things in my day that I had enough material to write a book...so I did!" he wrote. "Coming this fall: Capital Gaines -- Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff."

A feature on Gaines' Magnolia Market website said Capital Gaines will relive some of the star's "craziest antics and the lessons learned along the way." The memoir will emphasize perseverance, positivity and a willingness to take risks.

"Capital Gaines is the perfect book for anyone looking to succeed not only in business but more importantly in life," the promo reads.

Gaines and wife Joanna Gaines have starred on Fixer Upper since 2013. The HGTV series follows the couple as they help clients buy and remodel homes in the Waco, Texas, area, and returned for a fourth season in November.
