TBS orders a third season of 'The Detour'

April 26 (UPI) -- The TBS comedy series The Detour is to return for a third season.

Created, written and executive-produced by Jason Jones and his wife, Samantha Bee, the sitcom stars Jones, Natalie Zea, Ashley Gerasimovich, Liam Carroll and Daniella Pineda. Season 2 concluded on the cable network this week.

"I hear from so many people who love The Detour, even my hardcore comedy friends," Thom Hinkle, senior vice president of original programming for TBS, said in a statement. "Season 2 has been so smart, hilarious and wrong. And from the early nuggets I've gotten from Jason and Sam, Season 3 is going to be even more effed up."
