NEW YORK, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Jennifer Aniston showed up unexpectedly on this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live to take cast member Vanessa Bayer to task for impersonating her.

Bayer frequently pokes fun of Aniston, portraying her iconic character Rachel from the TV sitcom Friends as perpetually confused.

When Bayer appeared on the "Weekend Update" segment as Rachel to discuss the recent revival of shows from the 1990s, Aniston suddenly appeared next to her.

"Vanessa, what are you doing? Can you just drop that for a second?" Aniston asked. "For the last 12 days, you've been texting me, every day, to come and visit you. Listen, honey, I know that you love Friends and we had such a great time making our movie [Office Christmas Party] together, but you've gotta really try to stop texting me every day. ... Friends was like 5 million and five years ago. So, I think we've gotta just move on."

"Well, I don't know. I just thought because I do this great bit as Rachel, so..." Bayer said as Aniston rolled her eyes and shrugged.

"Is it a great bit, though?" Aniston wondered.

The clip was viewed on YouTube more than 1.1 million times in less than 24 hours.

Aniston also participated in a sketch in which she and SNL guest host Emma Stone take part in a panel discussion about gender equality.
