Each season of the supernatural series takes place in a different time and place, with a core group of actors playing new characters in every edition. Previous cast members Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Lady Gaga have all won awards for their performances in the show.

The complete Season 6 ensemble, as well as the show's next setting, remains a mystery for the time being. AHS fixtures Angela Bassett, Cheyenne Jackson, Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Leslie Jordan and Evan Peters have all indicated they plan to return for Season 6.
