NBC offers first look at Vanessa Hudgens in upcoming series 'Powerless'

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., May 12 (UPI) -- NBC released the first photos of Vanessa Hudgens in its upcoming series Powerless.

"Here's your first look at @VanessaHudgens (sort of) saving the day in #Powerless, coming soon to @NBC!" the network tweeted Wednesday, alongside an image of the actress dressed in business-casual attire as she peers out a subway-car window at a costumed figure clinging to the train. Other photos show her in an office-type environment.

"OMG OMG OMG I'm so excited. My pilot for NBC POWERLESS just got picked up! Feeling so grateful and blessed!!" Hudgens said on her own Twitter account.

Also set to appear in the DC Comics Universe-set, workplace comedy are Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Christina Kirk.

Hudgens, 27, is a singer-actress best known for her work in the High School Musical franchise and the TV movie musical Grease.
