LOS ANGELES, April 2 (UPI) -- FXX has announced it renewed its edgy comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for its 13th and 14th seasons.

Starring Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson, Glenn Howerton and Danny DeVito, the show is about friends who own an Irish pub in Philly. Season 11 wrapped up last month.

"The gang ain't leavin' anytime soon," the cable network said in a Facebook post Friday.

"If anyone doubts the power of a camcorder and a dream, just look at It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which was a DIY backyard pilot when Rob, Charlie and Glenn brought it to FX and will go down in TV history as one of the most loved and enduring comedies," Co-President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions Nick Grad said. "Few shows make it this far or have such devoted fans, and we owe it all to the creative vision and great humor of the creators and cast who keep Sunny fresh and inventive every season."

When it starts its 14th season, Sunny will tie The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet as the longest-running, live-action comedy series in television history.
