Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk, Christina Kirk join 'Powerless'

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- NBC is beefing up its cast list for upcoming DC Comics comedy pilot Powerless, adding Community's Danny Pudi, Subpurgatory's Alan Tudyk and A to Z's Christina Kirk.

The three actors join Vanessa Hudgens in series regular roles, Variety reports.

Pudi will play Teddy, Hudgens' character Emily's best friend, in the workplace comedy taking place within the DC Universe. Tudyk will play Del, Emily's new overbearing boss while Kirk will play superhero fan and office assistant Jackie.

Hudgens -- who recently appeared in Fox's Grease Live -- will play Emily Locke, an insurance claims adjuster annoyed by superheroes as they disrupt everyday life.
