Caitlyn Jenner's 'I Am Cait' is renewed for a second season

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- E! announced Thursday it has ordered a second season of I Am Cait and plans to air fresh episodes of the documentary series in 2016.

The show follows Caitlyn Jenner who is "finding her 'new normal' as she lives her life as a transgender woman while learning about and advocating for the transgender community," a news release said.

"Caitlyn's story has ignited a global conversation on the transgender community on a scale that has never been seen before," Jeff Olde, executive vice president of programming and development for E!, said in a statement. "We are honored Caitlyn has chosen to continue to share her ongoing story with our viewers around the world."

"I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation," added Jenner.

Known until this past year as Bruce, Jenner is an Olympian, author and reality TV star. He is also the father of six adult children and step-father of his ex-wife Kris Jenner's four kids with her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian.
