Terrence Howard becomes Rick James on 'Lip Sync Battle'

NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Terrence Howard brings out his inner Rick James in this new preview for his upcoming Lip Sync Battle face-off with Empire co-star Tarji P. Henson.

The 46-year-old actor goes all out in his performance sporting Rick James signature long braids, sparkling jacket and revealing mesh shirt.

The Wrap has the exclusive video showing off just part of Howard's performance as his on-screen ex-wife Henson looks on.

The epic pretend singing contest will commence on Aug. 20 on Spike TV.
