LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- Kaitlyn Bristowe felt guilty for sleeping with Nick Viall.
The 30-year-old Bachelorette season 11 star reflected on the incident in a blog post following Monday's episode. Bristowe previously said she isn't "ashamed" of her intimacy with Viall, but admitted to worrying about the impact her choice would have on Shawn Booth.
"I knew I had to tell him about the guilt I was feeling," she said of her conversation with Viall about the night. "I didn't want him to feel bad about it; I just wanted to be honest with him. I needed to let him know that I felt we moved too fast."
"[Booth] was already saying what a challenge this journey had been for him, and the last thing I would want would be for us to end up together at the end of this and then to tell him," she explained. "I wanted to let him know I felt guilty because of how much I cared about him."
Bristowe told Booth she slept with Viall in an intense moment on the episode, but both men accepted her proffered roses at the rose ceremony. Bachelorette season 10 star Andi Dorfman and ex-fiance Josh Murray subsequently praised Bristowe for her honesty on Twitter.
"This cannot be fun for either... #TheBachelorette #propsforhonesty," Dorfman wrote. "So much I could say about that convo with Shawn, but all I'll say it it's nice that she told him the truth - stay strong Shawn," Murray added.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Viall, a 34-year-old software sales executive, Booth, a 28-year-old personal trainer, and Ben Higgins, a 26-year-old software salesman remain in competition.
