LOS ANGELES, March 3 (UPI) -- Judy Sheindlin has renewed her Judge Judy contract with CBS.
The 72-year-old judge and television personality was previously committed through 2017, and signed a new, three-year contract into 2020.
The agreement also includes a first-look production deal with Sheindlin's company, Queen Bee Productions, which currently produces panel-based court show Hot Bench.
"I'm thrilled to be working with my CBS family for five more years, and very excited about this new adventure in production," Sheindlin said. "I loved the experience of creating and developing Hot Bench and look forward to replicating its success with more new, compelling and smart TV."
"We could not be more excited to continue our longtime relationship with Judy," CBS Global Distribution Group President and CEO Amando Nunez added. "She is a true television icon, who entertains and inspires millions of fans each day on Judge Judy."
Sheindlin debuted on Judge Judy in 1996, and raked in $45 million a year under her old contract. She took to Facebook to share the news Monday, writing, "We are very excited to continue being a part of the CBS family for five more years!"
