'Girls' gets a fifth season on HBO

The show's fourth season is to premiere on the cable network Sunday.

NEW YORK, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- HBO has ordered a fifth season of its comedy series Girls, which is written by and stars Lena Dunham, and is executive produced by Judd Apatow.

The show's fourth season is to premiere on the cable network Sunday.

"Dreamy night with all my beloveds at the @girlsHBO Season 4 premiere. Thank you to friends & fans (who are one and the same to us)," Dunham tweeted early Tuesday. "And now we get to do this job for another year? Pinch me."
