NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Anderson Cooper was pranked during Monday night's segment of The RidicuList and learned while reading the teleprompter on live television that his co-workers are not particularly fond of the basil-scented candle he keeps in his office.

Cooper introduced the segment, which was supposed to be about annoying things colleagues do, saying he'd never seen the footage he was about to show. He later realized the video was of his office.

Cooper giggled his way through the bit and took several breaks to explain why he got the candle -- someone told him he smelled -- and to declare he loves its scent. Later on, the news anchor goes into uncontrollable laughter when he's forced to read a list of "Things Anderson's candle smells like." Grandma's house, an old mall and Woodstock vomit were a few of the items on the list.

Cooper's The RidicuList airs toward the end of the host's nightly show and finds him presenting lighthearted and humorous stories.
