Chasing Life stars Italia Ricci as April Carver, a 24-year-old reporter, whose life is turned upside down after she is diagnosed with cancer. Mary Page Keller co-stars as April's mother Sara, with Haley Ramm as April's sister Brenna and Richard Brancatisano as April's love interest Dominic.

"Through the laughter and the tears, our audience has connected with the characters and relationships in Chasing Life, and we are thrilled to continue telling April's courageous story," ABC programming and development executive vice president Karey Burke said. "Chasing Life has found a home here."

Ricci is known for portraying Sasha on Comedy Central series Secret Girlfriend, and Maggie Winnock on Cartoon Network program Unnatural History. Chasing Life will return to ABC Family on Dec. 9.
