LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Julia Stiles will guest star on The Mindy Project. The 33-year-old actress will portray a friend of Danny Castellano's (Chris Messina) and a love interest for Morgan Tookers (Ike Barinholtz) on an upcoming story arc. The character is described as "a recovering hoarder," but other details are being kept under wraps.

The Mindy Project debuted in 2012, and follows OB/GYN Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) as she navigates her personal and professional life. The series is in its third season, and co-stars Ed Weeks as Dr. Jeremy Reed, Adam Pally as Dr. Peter Prentice and Xosha Roquemore as nurse Tasha.
Stiles is best known for portraying Kat Stratford in 10 Things I Hate About You, and Sara Johnson in Save the Last Dance. The actress has since appeared in Mona Lisa Smile and Silver Linings Playbook, and guest starred as Lumen Pierce on Showtime series Dexter. She is scheduled for a number of upcoming projects, including The Great Gilly Hopkins and Out of the Dark.
The Mindy Project airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
