LOS ANGELES, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Big Bang Theory stars Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki have signed new contracts. The trio portray Penny, Sheldon and Leonard, respectively, on the CBS sitcom, and negotiated together with studio Warner Bros. Television. Production on the show's eighth season has been delayed due to the actors' negotiations, and co-stars Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar have yet to sign new contracts.

Cuoco, Parsons and Galecki's new deal is a three-year commitment in light of the series' three-season renewal. The actors currently earn $325,000 per episode, and sources say their pay has been increased to $1 million per half-hour. They will also receive an increased percentage of the show's back-end and overall deals.
The Big Bang Theory premiered in 2007, and is the No. 1 comedy on television among total viewers. Production is expected to resume Wednesday, and season eight will debut September 22 on CBS.
