'Teen Mom 2' confirmed for new season, releases trailer

The series follows the "16 and Pregnant" stars into motherhood.

NEW YORK, June 16 (UPI) -- Teen Mom 2 is confirmed for a new season.

The MTV reality show will return for a "5B" season this summer. The first half of season five ended April 13, and new episodes premiere July 16.

A trailer released on Monday finds stars Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska and Leah Messer embroiled in more drama. Lowry keeps busy with her husband and two sons, Evans finds out the sex of her second baby, Houska deals with Adam's DUI and Messer and her husband adjust to their daughter having a wheelchair.

Lowry, Evans, Houska and Messer were previously featured on the second season of 16 and Pregnant. Teen Mom 2 continues their stories as they navigate motherhood and their drama-filled personal lives. The 5B season premiere airs at 10 p.m. ET July 16 on MTV.
