CHICAGO, May 7 (UPI) -- Oprah Winfrey shared a video of the audition tape that landed her the job at The Oprah Winfrey Show on her network's official YouTube channel on Sunday.
The clip, which originally aired on Winfrey's show in November 2005, finds the now 60-year-old media mogul discussing the time she first learned about a talk show in Chicago that needed a new host.
"I stayed up all night long with an editor [and] sent my audition tape in," she says before airing the tape that she sent in 1983. "I was obsessed with getting this job."
In the clip, a 31-year-old Winfrey sports a beige and black blouse and cardigan combo and an afro hairstyle.
"Hi there," she says in the beginning of the tape. "My name is Oprah Winfrey. Oprah spelled O-P-R-A-H and if you notice, it's Harpo spelled backwards."
You can check out the talk show host explaining the origin of her name later in the tape, below.
