'Bates Motel' Season 2 premiere gets live after-show special

NEW YORK, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- U.S. cable network A&E has announced plans to air a live half-hour special called "Bates Motel: After Hours" next month.

Series stars Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore and Max Thieriot, as well as executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, will share their insights into the first episode of the series' sophomore season, and answer fan questions about the upcoming season of "Bates Motel."

"Bates Motel: After Hours" will be broadcast in front of a live studio audience in New York March 3, immediately following the series premiere of "Those Who Kill" at 10 p.m. ET/PT and the season premiere of "Bates Motel" at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

"Bates Motel" is a contemporary prequel to the classic Alfred Hitchcock film "Psycho."
