'Partridge Family' manager Dave Madden dead at 82

FRUIT COVE, Fla., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Former "Partridge Family" cast member Dave Madden died of congestive heart and kidney failure in Florida Thursday morning, TMZ reported.

He was 82.

The Canadian-born actor was best known for playing band manager Reuben Kincaid on the 1970s sitcom.

Madden, who also appeared on the sketch comedy program "Laugh-In," was the author of several books, including a memoir published in 2007.

His other credits include "Alice," "Charlotte's Web" and "Camp Runamuck Counselor."
