Courteney Cox breaks wrist while on vacation in Mexico

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Courteney Cox fell and broke her wrist while on vacation in Cancun, Mexico, during the weekend, TMZ reported.

The "Cougar Town" star and former "Friends" cast member snapped her wrist after she slipped and tried to break her fall, the celebrity news website said Sunday.

Cox headed home to Los Angeles to be treated by her own doctors, but it was unclear whether she would need surgery to re-set the bones, TMZ said.
