Francis Capra back for 'Veronica Mars' movie

LOS ANGELES, June 13 (UPI) -- Francis Capra will reprise his role of California biker gang leader Eli "Weevil" Navarro in the "Veronica Mars" movie, creator Rob Thomas told TVGuide.com.

In addition to playing Weevil on the small-screen version of "Veronica Mars" for three seasons, Capra has appeared on the television shows "Heroes," "Bones" and "Sons of Anarchy."

"Veronica Mars" regulars Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring and Enrico Colantoni have already signed on for the movie. Production is to begin in less than two weeks.

Thomas raised the film's nearly $6 million budget through a Kickstarter fan-contribution campaign.
