LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Shutterfly donated $20,000 for breast-cancer treatment and research after actor Liam Neeson donned a pair of tiny pink briefs on U.S. television.

The Northern Ireland-born film star gamely took part in the stunt on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week.

Removing a pink robe to reveal the similarly hued undies, the "Taken 2" star joked, "If I take this off, does the $10,000 become $20,000?"

DeGeneres said some people might like to see that happen but stopped him before he could up the ante by removing the briefs, too.

"We get fined if you take those off," she quipped.

Neeson then climbed into the Shutterfly dunk tank where an audience member was called upon to dump a bucket of water over Neeson's head.

"Liam Neeson raised $20,042 wearing this outfit," the New York Daily News said DeGeneres tweeted along with a picture of the nearly nude actor.

"$20,043 from Shutterfly, and $43 in singles stuck in his speedo."
