Craig, Applegate to host 'SNL'

NEW YORK, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- British actor Daniel Craig is to serve as guest host of "Saturday Night Live" in New York this week, NBC announced Monday.

Craig will soon be seen reprising his role of secret agent James Bond in the film "Skyfall."

Muse will be the musical guest on the night he appears on "SNL."

Actress Christina Applegate will serve as guest host Oct. 13. Applegate currently stars in the sitcom "Up All Night." The music group Passion Pit will also appear on the show that night.

Singer-songwriter-producer Bruno Mars will pull double duty as host and musical guest on the Oct. 20 edition of "SNL," NBC said.
