'Cougar Town' moving from ABC to TBS

LOS ANGELES, May 10 (UPI) -- TBS says it has ordered a fourth season of "Cougar Town," a Florida-set sitcom starring Courteney Cox that previously ran on ABC.

The cable network said new episodes are to begin airing in early 2013. In addition, TBS has acquired the encore rights to the show's first three seasons, which include 61 episodes.

"'Cougar Town' is a smart, whimsical sitcom that draws its humor from likable, relatable characters," Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies, said in a statement Thursday. "We are thrilled to have 'Cougar Town' moving to the TBS neighborhood as the network continues to expand its slate of original comedy series."

"Cougar Town" co-stars Dan Byrd, Brian Van Holt, Christa Miller, Ian Gomez, Josh Hopkins and Busy Philipps.
