HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Irish actor Chris O'Dowd says he and British television star Dawn Porter have gotten engaged.
O'Dowd, who played the romantic cop in "Bridesmaids," said in a recent tweet he popped the question while the couple were spending Christmas on the English Channel island of Guernsey.

"I'm so bored of all this happiness and sex. I'm getting married," O'Dowd wrote Thursday.
People magazine said Porter confirmed the big announcement with a tweet to her own army of followers.
O'Dowd and Porter are both 32. There was no immediate word on when the wedding would take place.
