CLEVELAND, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- An Ohio party bus driver is suing actor Matthew Fox for $25,000 for allegedly assaulting her when she wouldn't give him a ride to his hotel, court papers show.

Heather Bormann has accused the former star of "Lost" and "Party of Five" of hitting her repeatedly in the chest, arm, legs and abdomen during the alleged Aug. 28 altercation outside of a Cleveland bar.

Bormann said she eventually punched the actor in the face to get him to stop but in doing so injured her hand and fingers.

Fox was detained by police, then released into the custody of a friend who drove him to his hotel.

Bormann officially pressed charges against him shortly after.

TMZ said Bormann is demanding more than $25,000 in damages for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Fox's publicist did not return calls asking for a comment on the lawsuit, the entertainment news Web site said.

The actor was in Cleveland working on the film "I, Alex Cross."
