Fourth Stieg Larsson novel possible

EDINBURGH, Scotland, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A former colleague of the late Stieg Larsson, Swedish author of the wildly successful "Millennium Trilogy," says a fourth novel is 70 percent complete.

Speaking at the Edinburgh International Book Festival about his memoir, "Stieg Larsson My Friend," Kurdo Baksi asserted he was shown a draft of that fourth book shortly after Larsson's death in 2004, Britain's The Guardian reported Monday.

Baksi's claims, however, are disputed by Eva Gabrielsson who was Larsson's partner for almost 30 years. She says the book, which is draft form on Larsson's computer, is only about 30 percent complete and "does not hang together."

"It is at 260 pages at the moment -- about 70 percent complete. Eva has said the book is not so complete. She took the book after Stieg died and showed it to me and his father," Baksi said.

The "he said/she said" war of words has had Gabrielsson accuse Baksi of being a sloppy journalist not above rigging facts, has labeled his book as "pure slander," and has asked for it to be withdrawn, The Guardian said.
