Collins, Bassey to return to 'AMC'

LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- Former "All My Children" co-stars Kate Collins, Jennifer Bassey and Melissa Claire Egan have been booked for guest spots on the soon-to-wrap U.S. soap opera.

ABC made the announcement Wednesday regarding the actresses' returns this summer.

All three will appear on the daytime drama the week of July 25 as inmates of the show's Oak Haven psychiatric facility, where character Dixie Martin [played by Cady McClain] is also being held.

"These troubled ladies find an opportunity to escape and reunite with loved ones," the network said in a news release.

Collins plays Janet Green, Bassey plays Marian Chandler and Egan plays Annie Chandler.

"All My Children" is to end its 41-season run this September.
