Country singer Eric Paslay introduces daughter Piper

Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Country singer Eric Paslay is a new dad.

The 35-year-old recording artist took to Instagram Thursday after welcoming a baby girl, Piper Lily, with wife Natalie Paslay.

Paslay posted a photo with Natalie and their newborn daughter. The picture shows the family sharing a sweet moment by their Christmas tree.

"She's here!!! Can't even handle how much we love our little girl, Piper Lily!!! #BabyPaslay," Paslay captioned the post.

The "Friday Night" singer told People Natalie gave birth to their daughter Dec. 8 in Nashville, Tenn.

"It took three days for us to name her! We needed to get to know our baby girl before we could choose," the couple said.

"After getting many smiles and much laughter from all her cute little sounds and squeaks, Piper suddenly fell into place and seemed right for her," the pair explained.

Paslay and Natalie said they're thrilled to be spending the holidays with their daughter.

"We are completely in love with our little girl and looking forward to the happiest Christmas of our lives with this beautiful gift from God," the couple said.

In addition to "Friday Night," Paslay is known for the singles "Song About a Girl" and "She Don't Love You." He last released the EP The Work Tapes in July 2017.
