March 17 (UPI) -- Liam Payne says he's "super happy" with "dream girl" Cheryl Cole. The 23-year-old English singer gushed about the "amazing" 33-year-old star in the new issue of Rollacoaster magazine after Cole confirmed she's pregnant with his child.

"In a non-cliché way, it's weird waking up every day and literally living out your dream," Payne said, according to The Sun. "Obviously I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world and she's absolutely amazing. She's been my dream girl since I was younger."
"She is a wonderful, wonderful person and it's amazing to have someone who can relate to [my career]," he added. "She fully supports me. We're super happy. It's a very personal, precious time for us."
Payne and Cole met on The X Factor in 2010, and were first romantically linked in 2016. Cole confirmed they are expecting by debuting her baby bump in a charity video in February after months of speculation.
"[Cheryl is] really happy now," her former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh had told Sunday People in October. "She'll be a brilliant mum. She has loads of nieces and nephews, so she's used to the madness of children."
Payne came to fame as a member of the British boy band One Direction, which started an indefinite hiatus in December 2015. He landed a solo deal with Republic Records in October after signing with Capitol Records U.K. over the summer.
