Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Louis Tomlinson says there's time yet for a One Direction reunion.

The 25-year-old English singer discussed the band's future on Friday's episode of Today before performing his song "Just Hold On" with Steve Aoki.

"There's time for that," he told hosts Matt Lauer and Natalie Morales. "Nobody knows [when]. I think we're enjoying a bit of time to ourselves and exploring our own solo things."

Tomlinson and his One Direction bandmates, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Harry Styles, last performed together in December 2015 before going on an indefinite hiatus. Horan insisted in an interview with the Mirror in November that the group will be back.

"We would be silly not to," the 23-year-old Irish singer told the publication.

"At the moment we are all doing our own thing. Everyone is just enjoying how chilled it is," he added. "I don't think anyone needs to worry about us. We are fine."

One Direction's hiatus followed Zayn Malik's departure from the band in March 2015. Tomlinson told Sirius XM this month that he and the 24-year-old English singer have reconciled since the split.

"I think we've gotten to a point now where you can just really be happy for each other. Things have happened in the past of course ... [but we're] great [now]," he said.

Tomlinson and Aoki released "Just Hold on" in December, and have since performed the song on The X Factor U.K. and The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Aoki said on Today that working with Tomlinson was "a great process."
