Ed Sheeran tears up when couple gets engaged at his concert

AUSTIN, Texas, May 8 (UPI) -- Talk about a romantic gesture.

During Ed Sheeran's concert in Austin, Texas, on May 6, the singer invited a couple up on stage where a man staged an epic proposal for his future wife.

Mid-way through Sheeran's "All of Stars" performance, he put down his guitar and asked a man sitting in the second row to join him. The man brought his girlfriend up on stage and shared a loving speech, including some of the singer's lyrics, in front of the audience. He then got down on one knee and asked for his future wife's hand in marriage. The two embraced and she said yes. Sheeran, along with the audience, cheered for the couple.

The "Thinking Out Loud" singer shared a video with his Twitter followers, saying, "proposal tonight in austin, i might've welled up, but don't say anything."
