LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Colbie Caillat performed her hit single "Try" at Billboard's Women in Music event on Friday.

The song is from Caillat's EP Gypsy Heart and the singer has said it was written about herself.

"It's this song I've had in my head my entire life about personal insecurities, imperfections, self-confidence issue," she told Billboard in October.

On Friday, the 29-year-old singer performed her inner beauty anthem in front of a few of the most powerful executives in the entertainment industry, including Universal Music Group Executive VP Michele Anthony; Atlantic Records Chairman and COO Julie Greenwald, Sony Music Entertainment's Executive VP business Julie Swidler and many more.
