LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Garth Brooks might want to watch his back after actor James Marsden wowed Ryan Seacrest listeners with his own rendition of country hit Friends in Low Places.

Marsden was being interviewed along with country musicians Lady Antebellum on Seacrest's radio show Wednesday when he was called out to do an impromptu performance.

"James, I just know that you have this performance bug about you that we've got to expose to the world," Seacrest said.

It was suggested Marsden try his hand at a Brooks song, and turns out he's not half bad. Even Lady Antebellum performer Charles Kelly was impressed.

"Now I'm just pissed because he's better than me," he said.

Lady Antebellum performed on the soundtrack for Marsden's latest movie, The Best of Me.
