CHICAGO, May 29 (UPI) -- Teen rapper Chief Keef has been arrested after Illinois police said they clocked him driving at 110 mph in a 55 mph zone on the Edens Expressway.
Northfield police told the Chicago Tribune the 17-year-old hip-hop artist was arrested for excessive speed while driving his 2011 BMW X6 M Monday.
He also was cited for having three other passengers in the car at the time police pulled him over, the newspaper said, adding his driving permit allows him to have only one other person in the vehicle.
The Tribune said a court hearing regarding the incident is scheduled for June 17.
The musician's brush with the law follows his arrest last week for alleged disorderly conduct in Georgia. Chief Keef was taken into custody after police said hotel security smelled marijuana smoke coming from his room and reported him.
