Flu hospitalizes Rihanna in Sweden

MALMO, Sweden, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Pop star Rihanna posted on Twitter a photo of herself in a Swedish hospital where she is being treated for the flu.

The photo shows the singer hooked up to an intravenous drip and includes the message, "Sorry Malmo!"

TMZ said she canceled a scheduled performance in the Swedish city Monday night because of her illness.

"I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo. I was so excited to perform for you all," she said in a separate statement. "It would have been a great time… So much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there."
