Lady Gaga earns six EMA nods

LONDON, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star Lady Gaga led the field Monday with six nominations for the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Katy Perry and Bruno Mars followed with four nominations. Adele, Justin Bieber and Thirty Seconds to Mars earned three apiece.

The 18th annual MTV EMA show is set for Nov. 6 at Belfast's Odyssey Arena. It is to air on MTV channels around the world.

Lady Gaga's "Born this Way" is nominated for Best Song along with Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," Bruno Mars' "Grenade," Jennifer Lopez's "On the Floor" featuring Pitbull and Katy Perry's "Firework."

Lady Gaga is also nominated for the awards for Best Live performance, Best Pop, Best Female and Biggest Fans, while "Born" is up for Best Video.
