LOS ANGELES, April 1 (UPI) -- Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia have been booted from the singing competition series "American Idol" in Los Angeles.

Thursday night's double-elimination came a week after the show's judges -- Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez -- used their once-a-season save option on Casey Abrams.

Adedapo, 26, and Megia, 16, were voted off the show after performing Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" and "Daniel" respectively, UsMagazine.com said.

The remaining nine contestants are expected to sing rock 'n' roll classics on next week's show.
