Michaels, Peete are 'Apprentice' finalists

NEW YORK, May 17 (UPI) -- Rocker Bret Michaels and actress Holly Robinson Peete were declared the finalists on the U.S. competition show "The Celebrity Apprentice."

The Sunday episode was taped before Michaels was hospitalized last month for a brain hemorrhage. He has since been released from the hospital, but is still undergoing physical therapy.

MTV.com said he is expected to appear on next week's season finale of "The Celebrity Apprentice."

"I came in here as a complete underdog," the Web site quoted Michaels as saying on the show. "You know what everyone's mistake was? They so underestimated me!"

Reality television personality Sharon Osbourne, chef Curtis Stone and model/wrestler Maria Kanellis were all eliminated from the competition Sunday night before Michaels and Peete were named the finalists.
