MIAMI, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- The rock band Daughtry says it will perform Sunday at the NFL's Super Tailgate Party outside Miami's Sun Life Stadium before the kick-off of Super Bowl XLIV.

Singer Chris Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely plan to perform a 45-minute set of music, including their current hit single "Life After You" and material from the band's second album "Leave This Town," RCA Music Group said Friday.

Daughtry's performance is to be broadcast on CBS during the network's extensive pre-game coverage. It is expected to air at approximately 3:45 p.m. ET.

The multi-platinum quintet joins a star-studded lineup that includes Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Steve Winwood.

"It's been a crazy week," Chris Daughtry said in a statement. "Last week, we were playing in Germany and now we're in Miami for the Super Bowl. I can't think of a better way to get ready for the game than playing to fans who are pumped up for the big game."

Next month, Daughtry is to begin the second leg of its U.S. arena tour with its March 18 show at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore. The tour is currently scheduled to end June 20 in Trenton, N.J. at the Sun National Bank Center.
