"I have been immersed in the entertainment business for more than half my life," Cannon said in a statement. "With continued success in television, film and music both on- and off-camera, in addition to directing, writing and producing, radio is both an exciting and natural next step in my career."

"No one is more in tune with our young adult listeners than Nick. 92.3 NOW has experienced substantial audience growth since we launched the station and the addition of such a well-known and respected star like Nick Cannon will further resonate with and excite our entertainment-savvy listeners," Dom Theodore, program director of 92.3 NOW and vice president of CHR Programming for CBS RADIO, said.
