James Bond films coming to ITV under new deal

Feb. 8 (UPI) -- The James Bond films are coming to British network ITV under a new deal.

ITV announced in a press release Thursday that it struck a deal with Amazon MGM Studios Distribution to bring 25 official James Bond movies to ITV and its ITVX streaming service.

The deal marks the first time the Bond films will be available on an AVOD streaming platform in the United Kingdom.

The Bond films will air on linear and then for 30 days on ITVX, with the series to air multiple times per year.

The film series will launch March 4 with Goldfinger to air on ITV4. The schedule is as follows:

March 4 - Goldfinger

March 5 - On Her Majesty's Secret Service

March 6 - The Spy Who Loved Me

March 7 - License to Kill

March 8 - GoldenEye

March 10 - Skyfall

Additional content will also be made available on ITVX, including the documentaries Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007and Being James Bond: The Daniel Craig Story.

"It doesn't get any more iconic than James Bond and we are honored to bring this fantastic catalog of films to our viewers both on our linear channels and via catch-up on ITVX. Now where is my martini..." Darren Nartey, ITV senior acquisitions manager of films and kids, said in a statement.
