LOS ANGELES, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- La La Land lead Ryan Gosling and his director Damien Chazelle are working on a big-screen adaptation of James Hansen's book First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong.

The Hollywood Reporter said Gosling has mulled playing Armstrong, the first American astronaut to set foot on the moon, since late 2015, but he officially signed on to the project this month.
