Michael Pena to star in upcoming horror film, 'The Bringing'

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Michael Pena is set to star in an upcoming horror film from Columbia Pictures entitled, The Bringing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has signed onto the project directed by In Fear helmer Jeremy Lovering that is set to place inside the infamous Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The film will focus on Pena as he investigates a women's death from inside the Cecil Hotel.

The location is known for being the site of several suicides during the 1950s and '60s and was also said to have been the inspiration for television hit, American Horror Story Hotel.

In 2013, a woman named Elisa Lam was found dead in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil Hotel. Security footage from the site which featured Lam acting strange before getting onto an elevator went viral.

No production or release date has been set for The Bringing.

The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed that Pena is set to reprise his role as the comedic Luis in Marvel's Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
