Spider-Man revealed in second 'Captain America: Civil War' trailer

NEW YORK, March 10 (UPI) -- Spider-Man has officially joined the Marvel cinematic universe in the second trailer for Captain America: Civil War.

Released Thursday, the webslinger made a surprise appearance at the end of the clip helping out Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in his fight against Captain America (Chris Evans).

"Alright I've run out of patience, underoos!" Iron Man calls out to summon Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who then proceeds to sneakily steal Captain America's shield using a string of web.

Civil War, based on the Marvel comics series of the same name features two teams of Avengers led by Captain America and Iron Man battling each other over the government attempting to regulate superheroes.

Starring Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Paul Bettany (Vision) as part of team Iron Man and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Sebastian Stan (Winter Solider), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) for team Captain America, Civil War opens in theaters May 6.

Following Civil War, Holland is set to appear in his own solo Spider-Man outing in 2017 alongside the recently cast Zendaya. The 19-year-old actor has also been spotted on the set of another Marvel movie, Doctor Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
