LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Zootopia released a new trailer featuring the Shakira single "Try Everything" on Thursday.

The preview sees police officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin), a rabbit, team up with con artist Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a fox, to solve a case of a missing otter.

Shakira, 38, voices pop star Gazelle, a gazelle, in the animated movie, and recorded "Try Everything" for the film. Idris Elba also stars as police chief Bogo, a buffalo, with J.K. Simmons as mayor Leodore, a lion, and Jenny Slate as assistant mayor Bellwether, a sheep.

Zootopia is directed by Bolt and Tangled co-director Byron Howard and Wreck-It Ralph helmer Rich Moore, and opens in theaters March 4, 2016. Nate Torrence, Mark Smith, Tommy Chong and Octavia Spencer also have voice roles.

"It's a funny cop movie," Goodwin told IGN in August. "I feel like even though we're calling this an adventure-comedy, it really defies everything to me because when I read the script, I cried ... Ultimately to me, it's a story about friendship."

Shakira released her tenth album in March 2014, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and includes the singles "Empire" and "Dare (La La La)." The singer gave birth to her second son with partner Gerard Pique in January.
