LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Actor Liam Neeson is reportedly in talks for a leading role in Felt, expected to be helmed by Concussion director Peter Landesman. Neeson's team is reportedly negotiating his part as FBI agent W. Mark Felt, the previously unknown source -- referred to as Deep Throat -- who informed journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Watergate scandal. No official agreements have been made as of now.

Deadline reported Tom Hanks, Giannina Scott, Ridley Scott, Gary Goetzman and others will produce Felt, financed by MadRiver Pictures, Scott Free Productions, Playtone and Cara Films. Filming is scheduled to begin in March.
Felt, described as a spy thriller, will center around the secretive FBI agent of the same name whose true identity wasn't revealed until three decades after Watergate was publicized.
Variety reported the project will be the second between director Peter Landesman, Giannina Scott and Ridley Scott after the upcoming Will Smith flick, Concussion.
Concussion will make its first bow in theaters Christmas Day.
